Connecticut residents know a thing or two about freezing weather. In the dead of winter, temperatures rarely rise above freezing. With the ice and the snow clinging to everything surface, these temperatures can take a serious toll on your home’s gutters. Don’t worry! Connecticutians have Ned Stevens to help. Because we know you don’t really want to get the ladder out in below freezing weather.

About Us

Since 1965, Ned Stevens has been providing gutter cleaning service to homeowners across the nation. We have set the standard for the gutter cleaning industry and continue to provide customers with full cleaning and inspection upon every visit to homes.

Maintaining your gutters properly is one of the most important things you can do to sustain your home’s value and beauty. Located in Connecticut and 10 other states, we offer all of the essential pieces of proper gutter maintenance to keep your home safe.

Our Guarantee

We believe in providing the best service possible to our customers across the nation. Because of that belief, all of our work is fully guaranteed. Due to the dangerous nature of our work, we carry full workers compensation as well as liability insurance. After all, our guys and gals are on ladders every day. We want to keep them protected and serving our Connecticut communities year-round.

Connecticut

This beautiful state is located in the southern New England region. With a mix of coastal cities and rural, small towns, Connecticut has something special to offer all of her residents. Whether you are searching for the best food or local attractions, here are a few of Ned Stevens’ favorite places to visit.

The Food

Connecticut is known of its fabulous restaurant scene. From the great craft beer at the Walrus + Carpenter in Bridgeport to the gourmet dishes at Le Petit Cafe in Branford, residents can find any type of cuisine their palate desires. If you are looking for the best overall experience, from apps to dessert, Union League Cafe in New Haven is the place for you. Connecticut Magazine rated them best in four different categories: overall experience, French, best place to eat in the bar and dessert. While upscale places are nice on occasion, everyone loves a good pub, and we recommend The Engine Room in Mystic. Don’t miss the bar bites and our favorite cocktail, Walk in the Woods.

The Festivals

Connecticut festivals attract hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. In mid-November, The Parade Spectacular in Stamford features more than 25 massive helium-filled balloons of characters like Oscar the Grouch and Snoopy. Looking for something to suit your finer sensibilities? Mystic Outdoor Art Festival in August is labeled as one of New England’s best outdoor art shows and features some of America’s finest artisans. Don’t miss the annual Connecticut Flower and Garden Show! This breathtaking event attracts floral and garden enthusiasts alike.

The Landmarks

While it might not come to mind with all of the other CT adventures to partake in, the Mark Twain House is a sight to behold. Beautifully restored, visitors truly get a glimpse into the life and heart of one of America’s greatest writers. Stop next door at the Harriet Beecher Stowe House.

Gillette Castle State Park is definitely a landmark you won’t want to miss. On the outside, the castle resembles a medieval fortress. Inside, this stone castle features built-in couches, table trackway and wood carvings that display the brilliance of William Gillette.

The Great Outdoors

Want to experience a little bit of the past? Go sightseeing with family and friends by steam train or riverboat in Essex. Have a dinosaur encounter at The Dinosaur Place at Nature's Art Village. The kids will love it!

Looking for something a little more outdoorsy? Try zip lining in New Britain, apple picking in the orchards or touring Sheffield Island Lighthouse. There are also boating, kayaking, snorkeling, rock climbing, biking and hiking opportunities at Brownstone Park in Portland for those seeking nature adventures.

The Attractions

Aside from the obvious (we are looking at you Yale), CT offers tons of fun for her residents. The Mystic Aquarium, New England Air Museum and the Barnum Museum are all attractions that can’t be missed by Connecticutians and visitors alike.

You know that movie that started Julia Roberts’ career in acting? Yeah, Mystic Pizza is the one we are talking about. Well, you can visit the same restaurant that inspired the film as well as the rest of Mystic Seaport. Don’t forget to stop by the local bookshop, Bank Square Books.

The Character

With an area as steeped in culture and history as this New England state, character isn’t hard to find. From the homes of brilliant writers to the seaports filled with centuries-old ships, life doesn’t get much better. We know our fellow Connecticut dwellers will agree.
