Our Favorite National S’mores Day Recipes

Like most Americans, we love s’mores at Ned Stevens. The nostalgia from childhood, the delicious gooeyness, the crackling campfire. There aren’t many things better than s’mores. So, in honor of National S’mores Day, we have put together some of our favorite s’mores recipes with a little surprise at the end.

Now prepare yourself for some of the most ooey, the most gooey, the most delicious things you have seen all day. Let’s do this!

Chocolate Raspberry S’mores

Smores raspberry

Sweet and toasty vanilla marshmallows, juicy and tart raspberries and creamy milk chocolate create the ultimate s’mores treat. Don’t forget the chocolate graham crackers! Yum!

Bourbon Marshmallow S’mores with Bacon

Smores bacon bourbon

Talk about the ultimate Southern s’mores. These babies combine everything every good Southerner loves: bourbon, bacon and ridiculously sweet treats. You can either buy your bourbon mallows or make them yourself. Fry up a little bacon and head out to the campfire for the ultimate treat. We also recommend drinking a little of that bourbon with your s’mores. Get the recipe here.

Andes Mint Chocolate S’mores

Another easy change with big flavor! Instead of using your usual milk or dark chocolate, substitute an Andes Mint Chocolate. You can also exchange the regular graham crackers for chocolate graham crackers. Delicious and refreshing. Also, you can use other candies, like Reese’s Cups, Milky Ways or Cookies and Cream chocolate bars.

Strawberry Shortcake S’mores

Smore Strawberry shortcake

Who said you need graham crackers to have a great s’more? Not us, that’s for sure. Instead, try this version which uses shortcake and juicy strawberries with the traditional melted chocolate and toasted marshmallow. Now, what’s better than that? (Hint: Nothing.) Get the recipe here.

Banana S’mores Boats

Want the flavor of s’mores without getting your fingers dirty? S’mores boats are the answer to your prayers. Just cut into your banana and add in mini marshmallows and chocolate chips. Then wrap in foil and toss into the fire for a few minutes. If you are feeling adventurous, you can add peanut butter and a drizzle of local honey or some chocolate hazelnut spread to your concoction. Top with graham cracker crumbles. What could be more delicious than that? Get the recipe here.

White Chocolate S’more with Blackberries

Smores blackberry

Who says you need to use milk or dark chocolate for your s’mores? Not us! We love white chocolate, and to be honest, we think it can pair better with fruits. Whether you use blackberries like the photo above or pineapple or mango, you are sure to enjoy your white chocolate masterpiece just as much as your darker chocolate versions. Get the recipe here.

Ned Stevens S’mores with Peach and Mango

This beauty is a concoction from the minds at Ned Stevens! Take a pretty traditional s’more, graham crackers, dark chocolate and vanilla marshmallows, then kick it up a little with a slice of fresh peach or mango. Delicious and rather pretty if we do say so ourselves!
