Spring is one of our favorite seasons. The birds sing their love songs, the trees start to bloom and the weather warms our cold bones. Don’t let this season go by without taking full advantage of it. Here are a few tips on getting the most out of Spring!
Spring Cleaning
It’s a tradition for a reason. Spring offers the best time to open up the windows and let the light in after the dark of winter. Make a list of everything you want to clean and declutter before spring hits so you can cover everything quickly and effectively.
Get Active
What better time of the year to get active outside than Spring? The days are warmer and longer. Try walking a couple of times a week to kickstart your new exercise regimen. But don’t limit yourself to traditional training methods. Take your dog to the park, explore your city, go to an outdoor flea or farmer’s market. All of these things get you moving.
Garden
Spring is the best time for gardening. While some plant should have already been planted, there’s plenty to do to your garden during the early spring months. Whether you choose a flower or vegetable garden (or maybe a combination of both), get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather.
Have a Backyard BBQ
Get your patios (link to patio blog) ready for entertaining! Gather some of your favorite spring foods and your favorite people for an outdoor party. Think bright, fresh foods and colors!
Mix It Up
Speaking of BBQs, no party would be complete without a cocktail. Try mixing up some spring cocktails with fresh flavors, like mint, honey, lavender, teas, lemons and other bright flavors. Find your favorite and serve it at your outdoor party.
Spruce Up the Outside of Your Home
Is the siding on your home looking a little worse for the wear? Try soft washing your home and patio for spring. It can make your home look brand new without damaging it. Plus, you can schedule it to be done so it takes little effort on your part (meaning you can go do the things you love!). Talk about a win-win.
