Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning® is a proud sponsor of the 2014 United Airlines Plane Pull in Fairfield, NJ. The event will be held at Newark Liberty International Airport on Saturday, October 4th, 2014 and all proceeds will benefit the 24,000 athletes of Special Olympics New Jersey. Since 1997, the NJ Law Enforcement Torch Run has raised over $2,000,000 each year for the Special Olympics through Plane Pull competitions and Ned Stevens could not be happier to join the cause.
This Saturday, October 4th, come join the Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning® team as we cheer on the Fairfield Police Department. Dubbed as “Fairfield’s Finest,” a team of police officers will be pulling a 93,000 LB Boeing 737 jet 12 feet! Events kick off at 8 a.m. at Newark Liberty International Airport’s “Family Day” and plane pull competitions will be held continuously from 8:30am to 1:00pm. Teams will be competing for the top spot in three categories:
In 2012, “Fairfield’s Finest” receives 1st place trophy for the lead fundraising team with a grand total of $7,375!
- Top Fundraising Team: Team who has raised the most money by the day of the event. Team must raise $1,200 minimum to compete. Fundraising incentives start at only $2,000 per team!
- Fastest Pull: Team who has pulled the aircraft 12 feet in the least amount of time.
- Lowest Combined Weight Pull: Lowest team weight to pull the aircraft 12 feet, within a two minute time limit.
There’s only a few days left for donations! Help “Fairfield’s Finest” reach their goal of $5,000 by donating directly to their official Plane Pull Team Page. Cheering is highly recommended and spectatorship is free. You can find maps and directions here.
