Gutter guards are supposed to protect your gutters and keep them free from outside debris. Unfortunately, while gutter guards may help prevent larger items like leaves and pinecones from entering and clogging your gutters, they do nothing to prevent smaller debris like buds, petals, pine straw and even small leaves from finding their way in.
