Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning® is once again proud to announce its sponsorship and support of the annual Ryan Steidl Memorial MK5K (Morris Knolls 5K Run/Walk) being held this April 11th, 2015 for its 11th consecutive year. The race begins and ends at Saint Clare’s Hospital, in Denville, New Jersey. Ned Stevens was a proud sponsor of last year’s race, which hosted an impressive 350 participants.
Each year the MK5K raises money for Morris Knolls Baseball Booster scholarship program, the Morris Knolls baseball team, as well as the Ryan Steidl Memorial Scholarship. All funds raised also help with important needs in the school community and raises awareness of road athlete safety.
The MK5K honors Ryan Steidl, an exceptional graduate of Morris Knolls High School’s Class of 2006, who was tragically stuck by a car while training for the race in 2011. In addition to his academic excellence, Mr. Steidl went on to play baseball for both Georgia Southern University and William Paterson University, showing tremendous dedication to both his studies and training. While working as an investment analyst with Summit Equities, Inc., Ryan was admired by all for his professional and personal prowess and integrity.
Join us for a day filled with live DJ music, food, and of course, a 5k race, as we honor Ryan and cheer on members and athletes of the Morris Knolls community. This year’s race is a USATF sanctioned event and will take place on a new certified 5K course. Free shirts will be given to the first 250 entrants, and early registration closes April 7th.
